Curtainup Founder & Editor Elyse Sommer's Epilogue -- I've passed the torch for reviewing and editing new theater productions on and off-Broadway and elsewhere. New On/Off Broadway this week

New York
End of the Rainbow- Peter Qulter's bioplay with music is an acting tour-de-force but don't expect the Judy everybody adores . . .

4000 Miles— Amy Herzog's 2-hander bets another run at the Mitzi Mewhouse. . .

Gore Vidal’s The Best Man - What could be more amusing in this election year than oodles of snappy and insinuating dialogue that earnestly and humorously recalls a time when the delegates at a convention could actually surprise us with their votes? . . .

The Taming of the Shrew- Theatre for a New Audience’s production takes us back to the American frontier of the late 19th century, and gives Shakespeare’s knockabout farce a fresh pioneer spirit. . . .
